Get started with learning or going deeper into the Ashtanga Yoga Primary Series Practice with Deepika Mehta. Keeping the Ashtanga method as the foundation, instead of the standard led counted vinyasa class, Deepika will adapt the morning classes to suit what your needs are - whether you have injuries, flexibility, mobility, strength issues or are a beginner or an advanced practitioner. She will meet you where you are at your practice. For students already exposed to the practice view these classes as Mysore Cum Led.

Yoga Essentials - Afternoon Workshops
11th-13th January 2019
The Yoga Essentials Workshops covering Flexibility, Backbends and Strength Essentials will help your Primary Series practice come together. Of course, these workshops are valuable for any person in any movement form - be it Dance, Yoga, Pilates, Cross Fit or if you just want to work on core strength or flexibility. The workshop themes will cover aspects of strength, flexibility and backbends. The workshops will have drills and techniques to help train you to work on poses like Urdhva Dhanurasana, Pinchamayursana, Kapotasana, Headstands, Leg behind Head, Drop Backs and the crowd favourite - Handstands!
Flexibility Essentials: Hips and Splits - 11th January 2019 6pm-8pm
Backbend Essentials - 12th January 2019 4pm-6pm
Strength Essentials: Core, Arm Balances and Inversions - 13th January 2019 4pm-6pm
Note for Beginners: It would be advisable to do the entire weekend for you to be able to make the most of learning from it and also getting the true essence and essentials of Ashtanga Yoga.

Entire Weekend - 3 Workshops and 2 Classes is Rs.8000
Please bring your own yoga mat, napkin, water bottle and wear comfortable and breathable yoga clothing. Traditional Ashtanga Yoga is a sweaty practice and no ac’s or fans are used.
Food and Accommodation
Want to stay, eat and practice at the same place and make this a mini urban retreat ? We have stay with food options available for those coming from outside of Mumbai or even for Mumbaikars who would like to spend the weekend at the same venue - True Space Retreats. All Meals - Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner (Simple Satvik Indian Vegetarian) are included in the room tariff. Our 60 AC rooms are located within a Spiritual Complex and are well appointed and clean.

Twin Share Basis Rate per Person is Rs. 1751 (all inclusive of meals, room and taxes) on bringing room partner. We would not be arranging room partners.

About Deepika Mehta
Deepika Mehta used the healing powers of yoga, meditation, spirituality after being unable to walk for close to two years from a near death rock climbing accident in 1997. She is a living example that ‘yoga is for everyone’ and it can heal you inside-out. Deepika is a Level-2 authorised teacher from KPJAYI. Deepika is one of the most well known names in the yoga world today and has been been on the forefront of yoga, fitness, wellness in India since 2001. She is known for her motivational and inspirational style of teaching, believing that anyone can achieve what they want if they put their mind to it. She has had several television shows of her own like Yoga City on NDTV Good Times, Tata Sky Active Fit, Biggest Loser. She has been featured in various publications in India including Vogue, India Today, Elle Magazine, etc. and was featured on the cover of India Today. She has trained many top celebrities and industrialists while she lived in Mumbai including Aishwarya Rai – Dhoom 2, Priyanka Chopra – Don, Bipasha Basu – Dhoom 2, Deepika Padukone, Preity Zinta among others. She was a speaker at a TED Talk in the UN Headquarters in New York.
